Categorization: Label and Use

Motivation offers four ways to categorize your members (e.g. Organization, Location, etc.). Note that the second and third categories form a hierarchy: each entry in the second category holds one or more entries in the third and each third-level category must be assigned to a second-level category. This helps you organize your members when they naturally fit a hierarchy. The third and fourth categories are optional. The first and second depend on your service license.

Select 'Categorization: Label and Use'

1. Click on "Configuration" from the Motivation Administration Menu.
2. Click on "System Configuration" from the drop-down menu.
3. Click "Categorization: Label and Use" from the sub menu.

Member Categorization

The third and fourth categories are optional.
1. Third Category: This option allows you to define a third category for your members. Check the "Use Third Category" check box if you wish to use this label.
2. Fourth Category: This option allows you to define a fourth category for your members. Check the "Use Fourth Category" check box if you wish to use this label.
3. User Defined Field: This option allows you to create a label for a field of data that you would like Motivation to capture, but which is not defined to the software.

Click the "Submit" button to save your selections.
